A Set of 4 Yew Wood Low Windsor Chairs

A Good set of four 19th century Low Back Windsor Chairs in Yew Wood with Elm Seats, they have the crinolin stretchers , they were made in the worksop of Fred Walker in the tiny hamlet of Rockley which is situated south of Retord on the old Great North Road Nottinghamshire, Fred took over the running of the workshop after the departure of George Nicholson in 1841, one of these chairs is stamped on the seat. The condition of these chairs is excelent they all have a very pleasing colour and patina produced over many years of wax polishing which we prefer to leave so no cleaning has taken place with these chairs.
